E-Log — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026 · Versione italiana ↓
Short version: E-Log does not collect your personal data. The app has no user accounts, no advertising and no third-party tracking. It never sends your videos, photos, LUTs or settings anywhere. It does send us a handful of anonymous counts, so we can see which parts of the app people actually reach: no identifier of any kind is attached to them, so they cannot be traced back to you or to your device.
1. Who is responsible
Daniele Caprioglio, Via Carlo Noe 22, 15040 Bozzole (AL), Italy. Contact: supporto@reddani.net.
2. What stays on your device
Everything you make with the app, without exception:
- Your videos and photos stay in the app's storage on your device. They are never uploaded.
- Your LUTs and settings stay on your device.
- Diagnostic log. The app writes a technical log file locally to help troubleshoot problems. It stays on your device and is never transmitted. You may delete it at any time by deleting the app.
- No account. There is no sign-up, no login and no email address required to use the app.
- No advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs, no tracking. We do not build a profile of you and we do not follow you across other apps or websites.
3. The anonymous counts
The app reports a few plain events to a server of ours (vendite.reddani.net). This is the complete list, and there is nothing else:
- the app was opened, and whether this iPhone records in Apple Log, in HLG, or in neither;
- which screens of the introduction shown at first launch were seen;
- which step of the guided first run was reached, and whether it was done or skipped;
- a recording was completed;
- the subscription screen was shown, and which action brought it up (export, save to Photos, external drive, smooth zoom, advanced focus, saved presets, free trial), and, in the version made of three screens, which screen was reached;
- the free trial could not be offered, and the technical reason why;
- which of the three versions of the subscription screen appeared when a PRO feature of the app was tapped by someone who can still start the free trial.
Each event also carries two letters: which of two versions of the subscription screen, and which of two versions of the first launch, this installation shows. Both are chosen at random on the phone and each is shared by half of all users, so they cannot tell anyone apart. They only let us see which versions work better. From version 1.2.1 there is a single version for everyone, and instead of the two letters each event carries one letter that is the same for every user. From version 1.3.1, only for people who can still start the free trial, the subscription screen that appears when a PRO feature is tapped comes in three versions, chosen at random on the phone and each shared by a third of those users: the app reports which version appeared and attaches it to the purchase, and this too cannot tell anyone apart.
Test versions distributed through TestFlight also say that they are a test version, so that their counts are kept apart from those of the App Store. It is the same for every tester and does not identify anyone.
No identifier is sent: no account, no advertising identifier, no device identifier, not even a random one generated by the app. Each event is sent at most once per installation, which is what lets us count without identifying anyone. Nothing about your footage, your settings or your LUTs is included, and no text you typed is ever sent.
Like any web server, ours sees the IP address the request comes from. We use it only to block abuse, we do not store it next to the counts and we do not use it to identify you. The counts cannot be linked back to a person, a device or a purchase, and they are used for one purpose only: improving the app. Under the GDPR the legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the app is used (Art. 6(1)(f)), with the impact on you kept to the minimum by sending no identifier at all.
If a request fails, it is dropped. Nothing is queued, retried in the background or stored for later.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple sends our server (vendite.reddani.net) a notification for each subscription event, such as the start of a free trial, a renewal or a cancellation: it contains the plan, the price, the country of the App Store, and a transaction number assigned by Apple. It does not contain your name, email address or payment details. From version 1.2 it also carries the two letters described above, attached by the app to the purchase and identical for everyone who sees the same versions. We use these notifications only to know how the app is selling and which subscription screen works better. Apple also provides aggregated sales reports. Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
5. Notifications
If you allow notifications, delivery is handled by the Apple Push Notification service. We do not associate notifications with any personal information, and you can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings or in the app.
6. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or transfer personal data to anyone. The counts described above are held by us alone: they are not shared with advertisers, analytics companies or anyone else, and there is no third-party analytics service involved at any point.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because the counts carry no identifier, we have no way to find a record that belongs to you, so in practice there is nothing for us to retrieve or delete, but you can contact us at supporto@reddani.net with any request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
8. Children
E-Log is not directed at children under 14. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
9. Changes
If a future version of the app changes what data is handled, we will update this page and the date above before that version is released.
Informativa sulla privacy — italiano
Ultimo aggiornamento: 20 ottobre 2026
1. Titolare del trattamento
Daniele Caprioglio, Via Carlo Noe 22, 15040 Bozzole (AL), Italia. Contatto: supporto@reddani.net.
Puoi eliminarlo in qualsiasi momento eliminando l'app.
- Nessun account.
3. I conteggi anonimi
- l'app è stata aperta, e se questo iPhone registra in Apple Log, in HLG oppure in nessuno dei due;
- quali schermate dell'introduzione del primo avvio sono state viste;
- a quale passo dell'avvio guidato si è arrivati, e se è stato fatto o saltato;
- una registrazione è stata completata;
- è comparsa la schermata dell'abbonamento, e quale azione l'ha fatta comparire (esportare, salvare in Foto, disco esterno, zoom fluido, messa a fuoco avanzata, preset salvati, prova gratuita), e, nella versione fatta di tre schermate, fino a quale schermata si è arrivati;
- la prova gratuita non ha potuto essere proposta, e il motivo tecnico;
Servono solo a capire quali versioni funzionano meglio.
6. Comunicazione a terzi
7. I tuoi diritti
